MICCAI Award to Co-Me Student

28.9.2004 — Davide Valtorta of Prof. Edoardo Mazza Group (Institute of Mechanical Systems ETHZ) and Co-Me member won the “MICCAI 2004 NDI student award”, for the best presentation in the session “simulation and display”.

2nd International CAS-H Symposium

17.9.-19.9.2004 — Co-Me supports successful Computer Aided Surgery around the Head (CAS-H) symposium

Homage to François Terrier

10 August 2004 — François Terrier, MD, Professor and Chairman of Radiology, Head of Department of Radiology and Medical Informatics at the University Hospital of Geneva, and co-founder of the NCCR Co-Me passed away on August 10, 2004, at the age of 52, after a courageous fight against metastatic melanoma disease.

5 March 2004 — Nathalie Seibel is the new Public Relations Officer at the Co-Me project office in Zurich.

Winner of the Research Grant for the Advancement of Women 2004

15 April 2004 — Winner of the Research Grant for the Advancement of Women 2004 is Marie-Louise Montandon, Neuropsychologist, Division of Nuclear Medicine, Geneva University Hospital. With the application: Contribution to the development of image-guided assessment of chronic cerebral ischemia. She has been selected out of 6 applications by the Advisory Board for the Advancement of Women (WAB). The research grant consists of a cash prize of CHF 20’000,– to support research in the field of the NCCR Co-Me.
